An Acorn By Any Other Name

March 3, Atlantis – In response to the query, “What has happened to ACORN?” guest speaker and former Republican Central Club President Bill Skinner crisply replied, “They’re alive and doing well, under a hundred different guises.” In a meeting devoted to the threats and techniques of Voter Fraud expected to be perpetrated in the forthcoming November election, Skinner explained how these protean Obama-ite organizers have changed their names and regrouped to receive various grants, collect moneys, and extend their reach. Citing a recent Pew Charitable Trust Report on the scandalous inefficiency in the nation’s voter registration system, this indefatigable warrior for clean elections described one ACORN strategy as to flood state offices at the last minute with hundreds of phony applications, all of which must be processed by hand. As Election Supervisors’ Offices become overloaded and staffs wilt under the pressure, ACORN will file untold court cases. The problem becomes exacerbated by incompetent and intimidated public officials, a national lack of legal definitions, guidelines, standards, and systems, and the astonishing ease of manipulating absentee ballots.  For example, Charlie Crist shut down Florida’s Voter Fraud Committee; State AG Pam Bondi collects no voter fraud data at all; Susan Bucher denies that any even exists in PB County; many AG Offices are unaware that a Voter Fraud Statute lies on the books; and “advocates” conduct Voting Parties in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities to “help” residents vote, all without supervision. Nationwide, 1.8 million dead people are still on the Voting Rolls, 2.75 million are registered in two states, 24 million registrations are deemed significantly inaccurate, and 50 million Americans remain unregistered. Not surprisingly then, Judicial Watch currently has over 100 lawsuits in the courts against the Obama Administration regarding FOI (Freedom of Information) and ACORN. The need for a robust counterweight to Election Fraud machinations has never been greater, nor the need for bringing 21st Century technology to the voter registration fore.
